The Ebonyi State government led by governor Francis Nwifuru has announced the partnership of his administration with the United Nigeria Airline.
The state government also said that the United Nigeria Airline will kick-off commercial flight operations at the Chuba Okadigbo international airport, Onueke Ezza South LGA.
The Commissioner for Aviation and transport technology, Mrs. Ngozi Obichukwu made this known in a statement signed and issued to newsmen in Abakaliki.
The statement reads in part: “It is now officially confirmed by the Ebonyi Ministry of Aviation, that flight operations will commence by the United Nigeria Airlines on the 13th of June, 2025 from Lagos and Abuja to the Chuba Okadigbo International airport, Onueke.
“Again, the ministry announced that the commercial operations are starting from 13th JUNE, 2025. And it will be plying ABUJA TO ONUEKE SAME DAY and ONUEKE TO ABUJA.
“Then, on the 18TH June, it will fly Lagos to Onueke and Onueke to Lagos.
The state government further said that subsequent flight operations by the same airline in the airport will be Mondays and Fridays.
“There is no online booking yet as the ministry is under Regulations after which, it will be permitted to go online .
“The airport is strictly monitored by AVIATION Regulatory bodies, according to the response of the Commissioner on an enquiry made regarding this.
“The ticket cost is at a cheap rate of N100,000 (One Hundred Thousand Naira Only) for Abuja to Onueke and from Onueke (Abakaliki) to Abuja.
