The Department of State Security Services (DSS) has said that the kidnapping and murder of former Deputy Vice Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Prof. Olorunfemi Olaofe, was orchestrated by his domestic staff.
Olaofe was abducted from his residence on July 9, 2024, and a gang of seven, invited by the househelp, carried out the kidnapping.
Further investigation by DSS operatives led to the discovery of Olaofe’s remains in a shallow grave at a farm settlement along Airport Road, Afao-Ekiti.
The case will be transferred to the state police command for prosecution, as the DSS has established a case of homicide.
This shocking revelation highlights the betrayal and brutality involved in the crime, and the DSS’s swift action has brought the perpetrators to justice.
