“Acute kidney injury: Excessive production of gastric juice/enzymes which may trigger PUD / gastric ulcer.

“Take about 2 sachets of pure water (that’s about 1.5 or 1 litre) during sahuur. To keep you hydrated and less hungry, you must focus on your hydration status to avoid severe dehydration which may lead to fainting.

“Severe dehydration can affect your brain. Things like fainting attacks, confusion, blurry vision, headaches, and so on can trigger underlying health issues. It can also affect your blood sugar.

“It’s important to eat things with healthy sugar like dates, tea or sweet fruits to give you the normal energy requirements for body function, likewise moderate salt intake to balance electrolytes in the body.

When you break your fast, avoid the these:

“Don’t start with solid foods

“Drink warm fluids or semiliquid and something friendly.

“Avoid fruits that are acidic or soar fruits in nature.

“Eat gradually,”

“Avoid eating large portions of food at a goal”, she explained.
