Denver City Council once again considers extending Mayor Mike Johnston’s homeless emergency declaration to Nov. 13 during its meeting on Monday.
After mayor Johnston acquired office on July 18, Johnston promised to house 1,000 homeless by the end of the year. That very day, the city chairman reported the crisis announcement answering Denver’s notable ascent in the unhoused destitute populace.
The utilization of Johnston’s crisis statement is to initiate the Crisis Tasks Center. The crisis group comprises of city organization agents from across Denver to zero in on the issue of homelessness.
