Delta state Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the commencement of construction of four strategic projects awarded to Julius Berger Nig. Plc in Warri/Effurun Metropolis.
He described the commencement of the project as phenomenal and nothing short of excellent while vowing to remain committed to the good and progress of Deltans.
The projects are (a) the construction of a flyover bridge from Enerhen Junction Effurun to Marine Gate, Warri, in Uvwie and Warri South Local Government Areas.
(b) Flyover Bridge at PTI Junction along the Effurun/Patani East West Road Highway;
(c) Flyover Bridge at DSC Roundabout along the Effurun/Patani East/West Road Highway; and
(d) Construction of a road expansion and cloverleaf interchange at the existing Effurun Flyover Bridge.
His statement reads in part, “This very important event underscores this administration’s commitment and determination to improve road and transport infrastructure, as contained in the MORE Agenda of my administration. These critical infrastructures will not only change the face of Warri/Effurun Metropolis but also ease the traffic congestion in the area and alleviate the hardships faced by commuters.
