Sharing is caring

The Spokesperson for the Delta State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe, has disclosed what he did when a certain man offered him ₦1,000 bribe, after he flagged down the man’s vehicle.

While speaking, DSP Edafe noted that during the COVID-19, when he was drafted to lead men to enforce covid-19 lockdown in Asaba, that he flagged down a vehicle and before he could say jack, the said man offered him ₦1000 bribe.

He went on and noted that he respectfully asked the man to park inside the Area Command and waited till the movement was allowed

DSP Edafe made this revelation in a post on his official X handle noting that the man was allowed to go after waiting for about seven hours.

He went further and stated it clearly that bribe is not the way, thereby urging Nigerians not to offer bribe, but always try to do the right thing always.

He wrote: “I remember during COVID-19 while working at the Area Command office in Asaba, I was drafted to lead men to enforce covid-19 lockdown. I flagged down a vehicle, and before I could say jack, the man offered #1000. I respectfully asked him to park inside the Area command and waited till the time movement was allowed. He was allowed to go after waiting for about 7 hours.

Bribe is not the way, don’t offer it, instead do the right thing.”
