The Traditional Prime Minister Of Obosi Community, Chief Austen-Collins Anibogwu, In Idemili North Local Government Area Of Anambra State, has celebrated its 2014, Ito Ogbo Festival.
He described the ceremony as eventful, saying the 2024 ceremony recorded the highest number of 80 years old people that were initiated into the prestigious group.
According to the Prime Minister, he said that the three years events promotes longevity and creates hope for younger generations to respect old age.
“Today we recorded over 200 persons that were initiated into the prestigious age society as against 15 to 100 in other years,” he said.
He also said, that the Ito Ogbo committee for 2024 did a very good job and prayed that next three years team will improve on any short fall.
Chief Austen-Collins, said that every plans to ensure security of lives and vehicles of participants and visitors were on ground and that no causality was recorded.
He also added, that Ayigadi Age Grade would be the host of 2027 Ito Ogbo Festival and we pray it will be very grand.
