Music superstar Davido has tied the knot with his longtime partner, Chioma, in a lavish wedding ceremony in Lagos.
The highly anticipated event took place at Eko Hotel, Lagos, Nigeria.
As part of the traditional Igbo wedding rites, Davido prostrated before Chioma’s parents, seeking their daughter’s hand in marriage and also their blessing, promising to protect and cherish their daughter.
The singer also expressed his gratitude to Chioma’s parents for entrusting him with their daughter, promising to make them proud and honor their trust.
“It is a lifetime assurance. Your daughter will be protected, respected, and cherished. Mummy and Daddy, I love you, I am happy on this day and this is the happiest day of my life”, Davido declared.
Also, the award-winning musician, David Adeleke, popularly called Davido, struggled to hide his tears when the father of his wife, Chioma Rowland, was praying for the newly-wedded couple.
In a video from the ongoing wedding in Lagos on Tuesday, one of the groomsmen wiped Davido’s tears, after which the singer hugged Chioma’s father who continued to pray for him.
The couple’s wedding has been building up excitement on social media with the hashtag #CHIVIDO2024 since the duo released their pre-wedding photos.
Meanwhile, a leading automobile company, GAC Motors, has gifted award-winning artist, David Adeleke, popularly called Davido, and his newly-wedded wife, Chioma, with a brand new Sport Utility Vehicle.
GAC Motors disclosed this in a video shared on Instagram on Tuesday.

The white SUV with the tag CHIVIDO was unveiled on Tuesday, after the couple received blessings from their parents at their wedding in Lagos.
