Vinicius Junior scored twice as Real Madrid and Bayern Munich played out a 2-2 draw in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tie.

His first came after beating Bayern defender Kim Min-jae and slotting a shot past goalkeeper Manuel Neuer and his second was from the penalty spot after the South Korean defender fouled Rodrygo in the box.

Bayern’s goals came courtesy of Harry Kane’s penalty after Jamal Musiala was tripped by Lucas Vazquez in the box.

Before then Leroy Sane had struck a thunderous effort inside the near post, cancelling out Vinicius’ opener.

With defending champions Manchester City knocked out by Real in the quarter-finals, both of these teams will feel they can win the competition.

Pressure has built for Bayern after Bayer Leverkusen halted their run of 11 consecutive Bundesliga titles and it has already been announced that manager Tuchel will be leaving this summer.

Kane now holds the record of most goal involvements by an English player in a single Champions League season (eight goals, three assists).

The second leg comes up next week Wednesday at the Santiago Bernabeu
