Peter Obi Mourns Onitsha Building Collapse Victims,
Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate, expressed deep sadness over the tragic loss of lives in the building collapse at Ochanja Market in Onitsha.

He urged everyone to prioritize safety by strictly adhering to engineering and building standards.

In a press release, Obi emphasized the importance of investigating the root cause of the collapse and called for strict compliance with regulations in the building and construction industry.

“I strongly believe that if we follow standards and procedures, building collapses can be prevented. Only trained and licensed professionals should handle building projects, and materials must meet project specifications,” Obi stated.

He also urged the government to take measures to ensure that building projects across the country meet the required standards.

Obi extended his heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and offered prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured. Let’s hope for justice and safety in the future!
