Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, The National Chairman of The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, today, joined a thanksgiving mass at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Umuogudu-Akpu Ngbo, Ohaukwu LGA, Ebonyi State. This special service was held to offer thanks to God for His benevolence and guidance in Justice Ogbuinya’s life and significant career advancement.
Barr. Ezeokenwa, accompanied by his amiable wife, Mrs Amara Ezeokenwa, took the opportunity to laud Justice Ogbuinya’s impeccable character and his distinguished contributions to the legal profession in Nigeria. Describing him as a man who has profoundly shaped the nation’s legal landscape, the National Chairman urged Justice Ogbuinya to continue dispensing justice and protecting the democratic values of Nigeria with diligence and integrity.
The Governor of Anambra State and the National Leader of APGA, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo CFR, who was also present, expressed profound gratitude to God for Justice Festus Ogbuinya. Governor Soludo commended Justice Ogbuinya’s unwavering commitment to upholding the rule of law and his dedication to ensuring justice prevails in Nigeria. He praised Justice Ogbuinya as a beacon of integrity and wisdom in the legal profession, whose elevation to the Supreme Court reflects his exemplary service and merit.
The mass, officiated by His Eminence, Peter Ebere Cardinal Okpaleke, the Catholic Bishop of Ekwulobia Catholic Diocese, saw a gathering of distinguished dignitaries including the Governor of Ebonyi State, Hon. Francis Ogbonaya Nwifuru; the Governor of Enugu State represented by his deputy, Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai; former Governor of Ebonyi State, Sam Egwuchi; Supreme Court Justices; Chief Judges of Anambra, Enugu, and Ebonyi; members of the judiciary; family; friends; associates; and a host of others. The Thanksgiving mass was not only celebrated for Justice Ogbuinya’s professional achievement but also served as a communal act of gratitude towards God for blessing him with the opportunity to serve at such a prestigious level.
The APGA National Chairman expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Hon. Justice Obande Festus Ogbuinya on his well-deserved elevation and wished him God’s continued guidance in his endeavors to uphold and advance justice in Nigeria
