Bandits Abduct Pupils In Fresh Kaduna School Attack

A community in Chikum Local Government Area of Kaduna state has come under attack

According to reports, bandits attacked a government primary school at Kuriga community abducting scores of pupils.

The community is located along the Kaduna Birnin-Gwari Road which has been terrorised by bandits for many years.

The police authorities and the Kaduna State government are yet to confirm the incident but a source said the bandits invaded the school at 8:30am on Thursday and took away many pupils including the head teacher.

He said that many students sustained injuries as they attempt to flee the school on sighting the bandits.

Attacks of this magnitude are common in parts of the north prompting resident to protest the ugly trend.

On Tuesday, residents of the Kankara Local Government Area in Katsina State embarked on yet another protest over the incessant bandit attacks in their community.

Tuesday’s protest was triggered by an attack on Unguwar Baushe community in Kankara town hours earlier.

Gunmen believed to be bandits in their numbers invaded the community on Monday night, setting several houses ablaze, and killing an unspecified number of people.
