Back-to-back champion Aryna Sabalenka is looking to defend her Australian Open women’s singles crown tonight against powerful American Madison Keys.

This is the sixth time Aryna Sabalenka and Madison Keys will be meeting each other
Sabalenka won four of the previous five matches between the pair.

Their first meeting was at the Cincinnati Open in 2018, when Sabalenka defeated the then-13th-seeded Keys in straight sets.

Three years later, Sabalenka was the number one seed in Berlin but lost to Keys in three sets, Keys’s only win over the Belarussian.

Sabalenka was dominant in their 2023 Wimbledon quarterfinal showdown.

Keys missed a massive chance in the 2023 US Open semifinal. After winning the first set to love, Keys was unable to serve out the match up 4-5 in the second set. Keys was up a break in the third, but ultimately lost 0-6, 7-6(1), 7-6(5).

The pair met in the round of 16 in Bejing last year, with Sabalenka enjoying a 6-4, 6-3 triumph.
