Arsenal came two goal down to draw at Stanford Bridge to deny Chelsea all three points and a statement of intent under manager Mauricio Pochettino.

At that point it looked done and dusted but with 13 minutes left, Arsenal was giving a lifeline after Declan Rice blocked Chelsea keeper Robert Sanchez’s poor clearance back past him into the net.
And, remarkably, they were level seven minutes later when substitute Leandro Trossard stole the ball at the far post to score as Chelsea hesitated in dealing with Bukayo Saka’s cross.
The result means Arsenal are second on the log same points with leaders Manchester City but with inferior goal difference

The goal made for a nervy final period as City clung on and Brighton pushed for an equaliser with City forced to see out stoppage time with 10 men when Akanji was sent off for a second bookable offence.

Salah’s first a penalty ended a frustrating 75 minutes for the home side and he added a late second as the Reds went top of the table momentarily.
The goals took Salah’s tally to 201 career league goals and victory maintained Liverpool’s recent dominance over their neighbours in this fixture.
Elsewhere inform Newcastle United proved a handful for Crystal Palace at St James’ Park with a four nil bashing
First-half goals from Jacob Murphy, Anthony Gordon and Sean Longstaff were added to by Callum Wilson just past the hour as the Magpies climbed to fifth in the Premier League.
Palace were never in the game and couldn’t match Newcastle’s intensity, but will hope it is a minor blip in what has been a fine start to the season.
Wolves scored a late winner at Bournemouth to move to twelfth on the log.
Sasa Kalajdzic’s 88th minute winner completed the visitors’ second-half comeback after Matheus Cunha had cancelled out Dominic Solanke’s opener.
Bournemouth played almost 40 minutes with 10 men after Cook was shown a straight red card in the first half. They are still in search for their first win this season.
