Anambra Teachers To Face Sanctions Over Social Functions In Schools

Teachers and Heads of schools in Anambra state would face sanctions should they allow social functions take place in their schools.

To this end , the Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board. ASUBEB and the Post Primary Schools Commission have been directed to ensure strict compliance to this order.

According to Prof Chuma Ngozi Udeh , the Commissioner for Education in Anambra state the essence of the order is to protect school facilities.

She lamented that it has become instructive to make the order in view of the effect of those functions on school properties.
