In a significant recognition of his dedication to youth development, Hon. Nweze Tony Nwora, the Mayor of Onitsha North LGA, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Anambra State Basketball Association.

For years, Mayor Nwora has been a pivotal force in promoting the game of basketball, sponsoring elite basketball camps for young talents in Onitsha even before his emergence as Mayor.
His passion for the sport and his efforts to nurture young athletes have not gone unnoticed.
The official appointment letter was presented to Mayor Nwora by Mr. Patrick Estate Onyedum, Chairman of the Anambra State Sports Development Commission, during a brief ceremony in Awka yesterday.
