The Anambra State PDP Executive Council met at the State Party Secretariat in Awka to conclude arrangements for the party’s Mini Rally billed to hold in Awka on Saturday, June 8, 2024.
The well attended meeting comprised of members of the State Exco and Party Chairmen of the twenty-one LG of the state.
At the meeting, reports of the various arms of the Organizing Committee were deliberated upon and ratified.
In his remark, the State Chairman, Engr. Chigozie Igwe thanked members for dedication to the party exemplified by their sacrifices in adhering to the rigorous process of preparation for the forthcoming Mini Rally.
He explained that strong measures were taken in the process of preparation to ensure that the funds that were painstakingly raised for the event were judiciously utilized. He added that the Monitoring committee will be on ground to ascertain the level of compliance by the respective committees.
Speaking, the Chairman of Chairmen of LGAs of the party, Hon. Alex Iremeka thanked Engr. Igwe for running an open system which enabled the LG Chairmen to be involved in decision making, as the LG remains the bedrock of the party.
Furthermore, while assuring the State Chairman of maximum support, Iremeka requested for continued inclusion of the LGAs for better output and expressed optimism for a successful outing by the party on Saturday.
