Anambra State Commissioner Of Police Accused Of Misappropriating Over N20 Billion Naira

Sharing is caring

Alpha Trust Investment Club (ATIC) has filed a petition urging the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, to investigate the alleged fraudulent diversion and misappropriation of over N20 billion funds by CP Aderemi Adeoye, the Commissioner of Police for Anambra State.

In the petition, signed by 33 individuals from the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, and Nigeria, ATIC accuses Commissioner Adeoye of operating a Ponzi scheme and misusing funds intended for investments in the cooperative. The group initially connected with Adeoye on Facebook in 2017 when he was serving in the African Union.

According to the petitioners, Adeoye proposed the idea of a cooperative investment club, where members pool funds to invest in various products and platforms, with profits to be shared based on individual investments. However, the petition alleges that Adeoye misused the funds instead of investing them as agreed upon.

ATIC is calling for immediate action from IGP Egbetokun to address the alleged misappropriation and ensure a thorough investigation takes place.
