The Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze has said that the explanations provided by Governor Chukwuma Soludo during his Broadcast on Local Government Autonomy and other related matters are quite explicit and in line with the mandate of the Judiciary and Legislature as well as the State and Local Government joint responsibilities.
Speaking shortly after the Governor’s Broadcast, Right Honourable Udeze revealed that Governor Soludo’s administration is mindful of constitutional provisions in all ramifications, adding that the signing of the Anambra State Economic Planning and Development Bill, 2024 and Anambra State Local Government Administration Bill, 2024 into law by the Governor is in the best interest of the citizenry.
