Anambra Police Command, Public Relation Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, has been honoured by the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun. At the awards ceremony in Abuja on 4th June 2025, the Anambra State Police Command Public Relation Officer acknowledged that the award is not a trophy because it was never a lone effort but a collaborative effort of Officers and men of the Anambra State Police Command in a renewed vision and deeper resolve to mark a new beginning of their journey towards excellence.
However, the award does not make me extraordinary. He said that he receive the award with honour of humility and with the fierce determination to do more, in his field of profession, he also said that he have seen men and women who represent the very best of our nation — officers who, through sweat and sacrifice, courage and character, have risen above the call of duty.
“He also acknowledged that greatest resource is the trust of the people we serve and are ready to serve you better. He urge journalist in Anambra State not to get tired of assessing the Police Command, because all this success story where through their help and the decisions of the state command”. he said.
In conclusion, he noted that the award is a commitment of hard work of the Anambra State Police Command towards the greatest dedication to protect with courage and serve with compassion.
