Sharing is caring

Anambra State Housing Commissioner, Hon Pauly Onyeka, recently urged real estate developers to enhance the quality of their estates by adopting Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s solution master plan for constructing livable housing in the state. This call was made during a visit by the executives of the Anambra State Chapter of Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria to the Commissioner at the Jerome Udorji Secretariat Complex in Awka.

Hon Onyeka challenged the association to address the housing deficit and positively transform the industry by implementing the new Anambra State Housing Policy. He expressed concern about the high cost of accommodation, particularly in Awka, and encouraged the association to engage in large-scale housing construction by pooling resources instead of relying solely on individual efforts and bank loans that may be difficult to obtain.

Onyeka emphasized the importance of involving the government in their activities to ensure compliance with state policies and laws. He also highlighted the need to think big, like the “white men,” in order to make a lasting impact on society rather than pursuing personal glory.

During the visit, Mr. Sunny Nwachukwu, the Chairman of the Association, presented the newly-elected executives who will soon be inaugurated. They sought the state government’s assistance and expressed their commitment to complement Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s efforts in transforming Anambra State.

They also extended an invitation to the honorable commissioner to attend the inauguration of the new executives, which will take place in Awka.
