Anambra Health Commissioner Inspects Enugwu-Ukwu General Hospital, Nibo And Amawbia Primary Healthcare Centres

The Anambra State Commissioner for Health; Dr. Afam Ben Obidike has inspected Enugwu-Ukwu General Hospital, Nibo Ward 2 and Amawbia Primary Healthcare Centres.

Dr. Obidike said the purpose of his visit was to evaluate the facilities and services at Enugwu-Ukwu General Hospital, Nibo Primary Healthcare Centre and Amawbia Primary Healthcare Centre. This routine visit is an ample opportunity for me to have first hand information on the activities of our healthcare workers.

The Commissioner commended the healthcare workers for their dedication and commitment in discharging their duties.

He emphasized the importance of regular maintenance, proper sanitation and the need for efficient patient care.

At Enugwu-Ukwu General Hospital, the Commissioner met the healthcare workers attending to an accident victim who was brought by the Road Safety Corp’s.

At the Nibo and Amawbia Primary Health Centres, he inspected the immunization and maternal health services provided while stressing the need to maintain clean and safe environments for both mothers and children, particularly in the provision of maternal care services.

We are committed to strengthening healthcare in the state, ensuring that all facilities meet national health standards. “These inspections are not just routine checks, they reflect our commitment to improving the well-being of Anambra citizens.”

The commissioner promised that the State government would continue to provide support for healthcare centers and ensure that resources are adequately distributed to ensure healthcare access for all.

He called on residents to remain vigilant about their health and make use of the available healthcare facilities for preventive care and treatment.

Charles Soludo for his continued support in healthcare sector of the State, our healthcare workers for their commitment that played a significant role for our dear State to emerge overall best in South East and number one in Nigeria at the just concluded Primary Healthcare Leadership Challenge in Abuja.
