Anambra First Lady Tips Anambra Entrepreneurs To Win 45M National Unity Fabric, Every Home A Garden Competitions

Wife of Anambra State governor, Mrs Nonye Soludo has asked eligible residents of the state to get involved in the ongoing National Unity Fabric and Every Home a Garden competitions organized by Nigeria’s first lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

Mrs Soludo who was speaking in Awka, explained that both competitions are perfect avenues for young creative and ambitious entrepreneurs to make a name for themselves and boost their vocations.

Both competitions are part of the empowerment programmes of Senator Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), which is seeking to empower young Nigerians and women to thrive in their different vocations.

The National Unity Fabric competition is open for persons between the ages of 15 and 25 who can design a unique indigenous fabric that captures Nigeria’s collective unity and diversity.

The winner of 25 million naira prize money for the competition will be announced on October 1, 2024, while entries for the competition will close on Sunday, 30th June, 2024.

Applications can be sent via email to unityfabric.ofl24@statehouse.gov.ng, while applicants are asked to ensure to capture all parts of their designs.

On the other hand, the “Every Home a Garden” competition is open to female farmers whose gardens must be located in their homes such that it can provide food on their table.

The competition is open to only women from the 36 states of Nigeria and the FCT who must be first-time farmers.

Interested candidates are advised to do a thirty seconds video and a picture of their garden, which indicates the location to the office of the first lady of their states.

Prize money for the “Every Home a Garden” competition is 20 million naira, and the winner of the contest will be announced in December 2024.

Advertising the competitions on her verified social media handles, Mrs Soludo urged every eligible person in Anambra State to immediately register and follow through on all the outlined processes.

She tipped contestants from the state to win both competitions, stating that she was confident that Anambra State boasts promising entrepreneurs whose talents can shine brightly on both national and global stages.

The governor’s wife also commended Nigeria’s first lady for initiating what she described as a sustainable human development vision, and said that she was hopeful that the initiatives will create lasting impact on the future of the country”, she concludes.
