Amotekun Arrests 45 Crime Suspects In Ondo

Men of the Ondo State Security Network Agency codenamed Amotekun have arrested a total of 45 crime suspects across the state.



While parading the suspects at the command’s headquarters, in Akure the State Commandant of the corps, Adetunji Adeleye, said 14 of those arrested are kidnappers



Others were arrested for offences ranging from, dangerous driving, burglary, unlawful grazing, destruction of public peace, and buying of stolen goods across the state.



Adeleye added that in the spirit of Eid-el-Fitr, the State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa,
had ordered the release of 28 out of the suspects.


According to Adeleye, the 28 suspects were profiled as first-time offenders, noting that their offences were not of capital punishment.


The Ondo Amotekun boss reassured the people that the corps will not relent in its efforts to ensure that there is no hiding place for criminals in the state.
