President Bola Tinubu has declared that his main focus is not on the 2027 elections but on improving Nigeria’s economy for its citizens.
His comments came during a gathering of the All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders, including notable figures such as former National Chairman Chief Bisi Akande and several governors, who voiced their support for Tinubu’s re-election and the success of all APC candidates in the upcoming elections.
The event, held at Victoria Island and hosted by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, marked the first assembly of the APC in the South-West since Tinubu’s presidential victory in 2023.
It attracted a huge turnout of party leaders, senators, and local government officials.
During the assembly, former Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi praised Tinubu for being a “listening leader” dedicated to achieving success.
Represented by his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, Tinubu called for patience from Nigerians, assuring them of his administration’s commitment to the genuine progress of the country.
The assembly also discussed the party’s ongoing development strategies in the South-West region.
