Allegations Trail Wike Over $2m Florida Mansion Bought in Family’s Name

Sharing is caring

Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, is facing fresh allegations following reports that he secretly purchased a $2 million (₦3.2 billion) property in Florida, United States. The mansion was allegedly acquired in March 2025 using the names of his wife, Justice Eberechi Suzzette Nyesom-Wike, and their children, Joaquin, Jazmyne, and Jordan, according to an investigation by West Africa Weekly.

The property, located at 113 Spring Creek Lane, Winter Springs, Florida, was reportedly secured through private brokers. Records indicate that full payment was made in the family’s names—raising speculation that the move was aimed at bypassing Nigeria’s asset declaration laws.

Unusual Price Surge Sparks Suspicion
The house’s price history has fueled concerns about possible financial misconduct.

Then skyrocketed to $2 million in early 2025
Analysts say the 180% increase within months is highly irregular and could signal a money laundering scheme.

Ethical Questions Over Wife’s Dual Role
The allegations have drawn further scrutiny because Justice Eberechi Wike is both a Nigerian judge and reportedly a registered member of the U.S. Democratic Party—a dual status critics claim raises legal and ethical red flags.

Wike and his family have not issued any official response to the allegations.
