Air Peace has categorically debunked what it called a false and malicious report alleging that one of its aircraft crashed in the Western Sahara region.
According to the false report, which has saturated the social media space, the supposed crash resulted in fatalities, including the death of a prominent individual.
In a statement signed by Dr. Ejike Ndiulo, Head of Corporate Communications at Air Peace, the airline described the report as a calculated attempt to mislead the public and tarnish its impeccable safety record.
“We categorically state that this information is FALSE and MALICIOUS. This is a deliberate attempt to spread misinformation and undermine the impeccable safety record of Air Peace,” the statement declared.
Air Peace further revealed that the originator of the post is notorious for fabricating tragic incidents designed to create panic and confusion.
The airline highlighted that the images accompanying the report are AI-generated and completely unrelated to any real event, further confirming the deliberate and deceptive nature of the claims.
The airline urged the public to disregard the misinformation and rely solely on verified updates from its official communication channels.
“We strongly urge the public to disregard this malicious disinformation and rely on official channels for accurate information regarding Air Peace operations,” Dr. Ndiulo stated.
Air Peace emphasised its strong commitment to safety, describing it as a cornerstone of its operations.
“Safety is not just a priority for us; it is the foundation of everything we do. The well-being of our passengers and crew remains our utmost concern,” the statement added.
Air Peace further said that it has consistently upheld international safety standards, earning the trust of millions of passengers.
This commitment, the airline reassured, remains unshaken despite efforts to smear its reputation.
The statement reassured passengers and stakeholders that Air Peace is a dependable partner in air travel, delivering not only comfort but also a commitment to safety that has made it a trusted name across the region.
