A pivotal meeting was convened by the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Chief (Barr.) Marie Olabisi Idaomi, Ph.D in preparation for the International Women’s Day.
No doubt, Edo State will witness one of the best celebrations of its kind based on the Commissioner’s positive drive and as an advocate for women in the society in terms of empowerment and participation in politics.
In attendance were Mrs. Edesili Anani, the Administrator of the Office of the First Lady, APC Women Leaders, NGO representatives, the Permanent Secretary, and Directors of the Ministry for Women Affairs and Social Development.
The meeting focused on discussing plans for International Women’s Day and strategies for the political empowerment of Edo women.
