The transformational finalists’ tour of Accra, Ghana, of the 2024 Aguata Best Student Challenge has come to an end.
Led by the Transition Committee Chairman of Aguata Local Government Area, Dr Chibueze Ofobuike, the visit to Accra with the fifteen finalists of the Challenge ended with a tour of the University of Ghana.
Stepping out in a traditional Ghana-themed Kente attire, the students had a feel of the simple but magnificent buildings and landscape of the university as well as the knowledge of its history.
The students equally visited the Legon Botanical Centre for some relaxation before being hosted to a Departure Dinner by a son of Aguata, Chief Valentine Okpareke, in the presence of the leadership of the Old Aguata Union in Accra, Ghana.
Lessons from the trip will surely impact on the students positively as more effort is being made by the local government Area council to identify and celebrate more students and youths.
