A political support group under the aegis of Soludo Ambassadors led by the convener, Hon. Ossy Onuko(Ifeigbo), has said, agriculture is our wisest pursuit because it will in the end contribute most to real wealth, good morals and happiness.
They made the statement during the launching of operation farm to feed campaign by Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Soludo CFR at Amansea.
Speaking through the convener of the group, Hon. Onuko said, Nigerians were living in the means of plenty but lack everything due to non-challant attitude towards farming and total neglecting of farming sector.
He said that, agriculture was being viewed by majority of people, especially youths as a business of rural areas as well as a business of uneducated people because of the challenges been faced and still facing in their farm production.
He added that farming will not only produce food for the people alone for consumption but it will make the farmer become an entrepreneur and employer of labour, if we can change our orientation and behavioural attitudes towards agriculture.
