Afikpo Indigenes Swears Solidarity For Apc

The people of Afikpo have declared total support for the Senatorial Candidate of All Progressives Congress APC ahead of Saturday’s bye election.

Addressing mammoth crowd of supporters during a rally in the area, the Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru called on the people of Afikpo to vote massively for Professor Anthony Ani, to represent the people of Ebonyi South in the Nigerian Senate.

The Governor averred that the APC led government in the State will remain committed to the well-being of the people

“Our party is great and I have been doing everything possible to get everybody involved.
“We are here to campaign for our brother and our party, Professor Anthony Okorie Ani, from Onicha.


“I am not perturbed whether he will win the election.
“He has the pedigree to win. “The struggle is not difficult, as far as I am concerned.
“By the special Grace of God, our dividend of democracy will redirect them”.

“For us in Government, our manifesto, the People’s Charter of Needs was designed to conform with what the people want.
“We have started with education and health, not forgetting infrastructure”.

The Ebonyi leader called on the people of Afikpo to close ranks and vote massively for the APC even as he stated that plans are on top gear to fast-track the construction of the Ndibe Bridge which was earlier requested when the Essa Ruling Council paid him a courtesy visit.

“For the people of Afikpo, the two bridges you requested, works must start on the site this week”.


Speakers at the event, Chief Kingsley Ogbonna Ikoro, Chief Hyacinth Ikpor, Chief Christopher Omo Isu, Dr Michael Abani, Chief Ukie Ezeali, Professor Amari Omaka and the Head of Service Mrs Rita Mary Okoro all eulogised Governor Nwifuru for his leadership sagacity evidenced in his readiness to ensure the construction of the Ndibe Bridge linking Cross River State.
