Nigeria Super on Thursday defeated host Ivory Coast 1-0
The game is their second group A match at the on going Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
A second half penalty converted by captain Troos Ekong gave the Eagles the much needed Victory.
The win leaves the Nigerian team in second place with four points behind Equatorial Guinea who earlier defeated Guinea Bissau 4-2 only on goal difference while Ivory Coast are third with three points courtesy of their opening day victory against Guinea Bissau who are out of the completion.
Nigeria’s next match is against already eliminated Guinea Bissau while Ivory will take on Equatorial Guinea
