Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, a lawyer representing some organizers of the planned #EndBadGovernance protests, has appealed to protesters to reduce the protest duration to one or three days.

The protests, slated for August 1-10, aim to address economic hardship and governance issues.

Adegboruwa commended the protesters’ courage and urged them to remain peaceful and orderly.

He suggested setting up teams to engage with government agents for immediate action on their demands.

The lawyer criticized the government’s response to the protests, accusing them of sponsoring thugs to disrupt the protests.

He warned security agencies against using bullets, arbitrary arrests, and military deployment.

Adegboruwa also advised President Bola Tinubu to reverse policies like oil subsidy removal and currency devaluation, which have worsened the economic crisis.

He urged the President to end wastage and luxurious spending by government officials, citing examples like the purchase of a new jet and renovation of the Vice-President’s house.

The lawyer emphasized the need for dialogue and peaceful resolution, offering to join the protesters in their efforts.
