Eucharia Ozoemenam, a native of Ifite-Ogwari in Ayamelum Local Government Area of Anambra State, who lives in Awka, has confessed that she deliberately and intentionally lied against Assistant Commissioner of Police ACP Patrick Chukwuemeka Agbazue on her Facebook page.
Ozoemenam who described the senior police officer who was in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department (State CID) annex at Awkuzu Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State before his transfer to Imo State Police Command, as a killer, murderer and mastermind of violence and criminal expeditions, further confessed that she accused Agbazue of shedding innocent blood for pecuniary gains.
Investigations by this journalist revealed that Eucharia Ozoemenam does not know ACP Patrick Chukwuemeka Agbazue and has equally not met him in person or had any personal encounter with him at least to justify her claims. Rather she acted on what she lifted from TikTok and amplified it on her Facebook post just to destroy the image and reputation of the senior police officer.
Further investigations however revealed that CSP Patrick Chukwuemeka Agbazue, who was the then officer in charge of State CID Awkuzu annex, discharged his duties diligently and ensured that operatives under him were responsible and responsive to duty calls inorder to proactively fight crimes with laudable results.
The said Facebook post which was made on 29 December last year ignited her trail until she was eventually arrested on January 1, 2026.
Eucharia Ozoemenam in her confession, stated in clear-cut terms that the Facebook post was made in error and that all the nasty things she wrote about Patrick Chukwuemeka Agbazue were done out of ignorance, unfounded malice and sheer want of followers on her Facebook page.
She said, ” I hereby formally retract and sincerely apologize for my earlier post concerning Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Patrick Agbazue. The statement was made in error, having relied on a misleading and unverified video circulating online.
ACP Patrick Agbazue, who has long been promoted in recognition of his professionalism and dedication to duty, is an innocent and highly respected police officer who has served Anambra State and Nigeria with integrity.
He is not a killer, murderer, sponsor of violence, or in any way connected to any act of massacre or criminality. The allegations previously shared were false and unfounded.
I deeply regret the harm my earlier post may have caused to his person, reputation, and service record. Having met him personally, I can attest to his professionalism, character, and commitment to duty as well as his role as a responsible father.
I use this medium to urge the public to always verify information before sharing, as ignorance of the law is not an excuse.
Once again, I offer my unreserved apology to ACP Patrick Agbazue.”
Meanwhile ACP Patrick Chukwuemeka Agbazue, a high profile cop has long been transferred from Anambra State and is currently serving the nation at the Imo state police command as one of the Area commanders.
