The Abia State Police Command has recorded a major breakthrough in its fight against criminal activities with the successful raid of a notorious criminal hideout in Uratta, Aba. During the operation, which was conducted on 20th January 2025 by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), six stolen vehicles were recovered.

The vehicles, which were mostly snatched at gunpoint, were recovered following an intelligence-led sting operation. Some suspects have been tracked and arrested, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend others who are still at large.
