According to him, Governor Soludo had initiated the 1 Youth 2 Skills Programme as a tool to end unemployment, restiveness, armed robbery, violence, kidnapping, touting, and all sorts of criminalities inherent in the youths. It is hoped that “this program will raise smart and qualified entrepreneurs within the next six (6) months, through apprenticeship, entrepreneurship, cooperative formation, business financing and mentoring”, he stated.
Barr. Ozumba congratulated the trainees, urging them to make the best use of this opportunity to better their lives and the society at large. He offered to reward the Trainees who will emerge the best in each of the Categories of Skills learning with a whopping sum of fifty thousand naira (N50,000) only, each.
He also commended Mr. Governor for approving the needed requirements for the training and empowerment, and called on Ndi Anambra, particularly Dunukofia LGA to continue to support Prof. Soludo’s administration for more human capital development among others.
He further commended the Commissioner, Agha Mba who is piloting the 1 Youth 2 Skills initiative on behalf of the Governor. He prayed God to give him the wisdom and strength to continue the good work he’s doing for Ndi Anambra youths.
In his speech, Comr. He stated that the trainees are meant to learn, not only the skills but the business aspect of the skills, adding that it’s a huge deviation from the normal “two-week in hall” pattern of training, which had yielded no fruit over the years.
“We say a big Congratulations to the successful trainees of this 2nd Phase of the 1 Youth 2 Skills Acquisition Programme of the State Government.
