…….Urges Tinubu To Fish Out Killers Of Military Personnel In Aba
The Eze Ndigbo in Rivers and Bayelsa state, His Imperial Majesty, Eze Sir Engr Sam Nwokolo has condemned the gruesome killing of five soldiers in Aba Abia state by suspected IPOB members.
Speaking exclusively to Ekweanaedo in Port Harcourt, Rivers state capital, the traditional ruler urged the federal government to go all out and fish out the killers of the soldiers.
He condemned the Monday Sit-At-Hone imposed by IPOB across the five South Eastern states and called on IPOB retrace their steps.
On the issue of new minimum wage, Eze Sam Nwokolo was ruthless in denouncing the sixty thousand Naira government proposal and at the same time laughed off Labour’s outrageous demand of over Four hundred thousand Naira .
In his words, Sixty thousand Naira cannot take anybody home. If it was two or three years ago when things were a bit okay maybe the amount will be enough. Government should make it at least #100,000 and introduce policies that will improve the improve the standard of living.
On the crisis rocking Rivers state, the business man turned traditional ruler has some words of advise for the former governor Nyesom Wike.
According to him, Wike should focus on his assignment at the National level which he is handling well and allow Fubara to concentrate on his own assignment at the state level.
Continuing he said if the people of the state are not satisfied with Fubara, they will vote him out in 2027.
He commended Fubara for steering the affairs of the state well and assured him of the support of Igbos living in Rivers state in his task of providing the dividend of democracy to every resident of the state
Recently, president Tinubu signed into law the return of the old National Anthem ” Nigeria we Hail Thee a move that has elicited reactions from many Nigerians.
For Eze Nwokolo though the lyrics of the new national anthem is fitting but the timing is wrong.
President Tinubu should work towards putting smiles on the faces of Nigerians who are struggling to feed as cost of food items have gone up he said.
He however called on Nigerians not to lose hope to continue to pray for God’s intervention for the country for a better tomorrow.
