President, Ahmed Bola Tinubu has described Professor Chukwuma Soludo as a statesman, having provided groundbreaking projects that will catapult the state into a new realm of development.
President Tinubu was speaking while declaring open the 2024 Anambra Investment Summit held at the International Convention Center, Awka.
The President who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget, Dr. Emeka Obi recalled how he set up certain structures in Lagos, which many people did not understand at that point in time, expressing gladness that Governor Soludo is doing something similar, facilitating sustainable development in the state.
The theme for this year’s event is “Changing gears: Accelerating Anambra’s economic transformation.”
While commending the Governor for the landmark projects he is carrying out, the President urged ndị Anambra to rally round the Governor to do more.
Earlier, the Governor celebrated the array of strategic partnerships being birthed through the summit for Anambra’s transformation and declared that the state is ready for investments.
The Governor called on the people to invest in the state.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Anambra Investment Promotion and Protection Agency, Mr. Mark Okoye revealed that the state is already taking the next step on the State’s agenda, as all the projects are sustainably bankable.
Goodwill messages came in from Kenyan High Commissioner, Isaac Keen Parashina, Resident Representative of UNDP, Elsie Attafuah, Cosmas Maduka, Chief Emeka Offor while expressing optimism that the state is right for investments.
