Two persons, a driver and his conductor narrowly escaped death after their bus fell into a pit close to a waterway in Umudim, Nnewi, Anambra state
According to reports, the bus driver lost control of the vehicle and while trying to avoid crashing into other road users summersaulted before ending up inside the pit.

The accident has elicited reactions by some residents of the state with some calling on the state government to provide iron protection on both sides of the road.
