Tragedy struck on Sunday, August 11, 2024, when Mandojo, a talented musician, was brutally beaten to death after being mistakenly identified as a thief.
His untimely passing has sent shockwaves through the music community and beyond.
Fellow musician Soggy Doggy took to social media to express his heartfelt condolences, writing: “My heart is heavy with grief. I will deeply miss my brother and friend. Rest in peace, Mandojo. Your life was cut short, a poignant reminder of the fragility of human existence. My sincerest sympathies go out to your loved ones, friends, and family.”
Domo Kaya, a colleague and friend, also paid tribute to Mandojo, saying: “I’m still in disbelief… your birthday was just around the corner, and now you’re gone. This is a tremendous loss. May you find eternal peace and light, dear friend and brother.”
Mandojo’s tragic death comes just days before his birthday. He was known for his hit songs “Nikupe” and “Dingi,” which will now serve as a lasting legacy to his memory.
