During a recent visit, Major General Jamal Abdussalam, the GOC of 6 Division and Land Component Commander, emphasized the need for troops in the 16 Brigade to prioritize the protection of critical national infrastructures.
On January 17, 2024, he commissioned several projects and urged the troops to continue their efforts in combating illegal refineries and pipeline vandalism in the Niger Delta Region.
The GOC highlighted the importance of maintaining oil production and revenue for the country.
