Former Everton and Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has named one club he regrets not playing for during his playing career

Speaking during an interview with former Manchester United teammate, Gary Neville Rooney admitted he wished he played for Celtic during his career.


The newly appointed Plymouth manager says it is a source of regret

Neville asked Rooney: “The club you wish you played for in your career?”

He replied: “Celtic, I’d say.”


Neville, surprised by the answer, responded: “Celtic? Wow. Celtic fans, you missed out there.”


Rooney had a very successful career at Manchester United cementing his legendary status with many trophies and goals.
