Anambra State Commissioner for Culture, Entertainment, and Tourism, Comrade Don Onyenji, recently emphasized the importance of peaceful coexistence and supporting local communities for their development.
During the inauguration of a computer lab center built by the Akwu-ukwu Improvement Union (AIU) Gabon branch for St John’s Secondary School Akwu-ukwu, Commissioner Onyenji praised the AIU for their efforts in uplifting the town and enhancing the secondary school.
He expressed gratitude to Mr. Basil Okwummuo for generously donating ten laptop computers and other forms of support to the school. Commissioner Onyenji encouraged young people to embrace information communication technology (ICT) as a means of improving their lives and connecting with the world.
He also promised to facilitate the assignment of science teachers to the school, aiming to make it a model institution.
In addition, Mr. Fabian Okonji called upon everyone to join forces and contribute to the town’s development, emphasizing the need for continued efforts.
Mr. Lawrence Obi expressed his gratitude to the Akwu-ukwu and Gabon branches of the town union for their dedication to the town’s welfare. He retired from Gabon but assured that his impact would forever be remembered in Akwu-ukwu. Let’s hope for blessings upon the children of Akwu-ukwu.
