Nigeria Patriotic Front Movement (NPFM) has issued a stark warning that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s policies are pushing Nigeria towards economic collapse and national survival crisis.
In a press release, the NPFM criticized President Tinubu’s decision to scrap subsidies without consultation, resulting in a 600% increase in petrol prices.
The movement accused the president of prioritizing foreign interests over Nigerian workers and toilers.
The NPFM highlighted the consequences of the president’s neoliberal economic approach, including crippled domestic production, ruined small businesses, food inflation, and increased poverty.
The movement warned that Nigeria is on the path to Sudan’s economic collapse, citing similarities in IMF-inspired austerity measures, food inflation, and poverty.
The NPFM urged Nigerians to unite against exploitative economic policies and resist the manipulation of ethnic, religious, and regional identities. The movement called for:
Revitalizing of key sectors Abandonment of neoliberal economic models, Alternative national economic transformation programs
The NPFM invited Nigerian patriots to a national conference on “Survival of Nigeria under Bandit Capitalism” in November 2024.
