Effective Service Delivery

The Permanent Secretary, Anambra State Ministry of Lands, Mrs Nkeiru Mokwe (ESQ) has charged staff of her ministry on effective service delivery.

Speaking during her first meeting with the staff in the ministry complex, Mrs Mokwe (ESQ)  commended the  commissioner , Prof. Offornze Amucheazi, (SAN) for being a ‘go getter’ and for his understanding nature and advised the staff not to abuse the privilege given to them by the commissioner.

She stressed the need for staff to develop a good attitude to work and always take permission from the head of their department if need arises.

According to her, negligence in discharge of duty in civil service is truancy and has its own penalty.

Stating the importance of time management in service delivery, she called on staff to always seek advice from their senior colleagues when dealing with files to avoid spending too much time on them.

The permanent secretary, harped on the need for team work among staff and advised them to always settle their differences amicably for good productivity.

She enjoined the staff to always use every opportunity given to them to prove their worth, and do what is right at all times regardless of who is watching, as they will always get their reward in due time.

Mrs Mokwe encouraged the staff to make use of the refectory created for them by the commissioner as it will help them to have a clean and tidy environment.

She urged staff to wear their Friday uniform every Friday as it makes the staff look unique and suggested that the uniform should also be used for their monthly exercise routine.

On his part, Mr Emmanuel Morah a staff of the ministry, in a vote of thanks, thanked the permanent secretary for her words of advice to them and assured her of staff maximum co-operation to lift the ministry to a greater height.
