Gregory University Uturu Abia state is gearing up for a vibrant celebration of Igbo culture!
The institution’s Centre for Igbo Renaissance has planned a thrilling event to mark the 2024 Igbo Day Celebration, in line with the vision of the university’s founder, Prof Gregory Ibe.
On Wednesday, July 24, the Goodluck Jonathan Auditorium will come alive with the sights and sounds of Igbo heritage.
The event promises to be a colorful fiesta, showcasing the rich traditions of Ndigbo, including costumes, cuisines, and cultural performances.
The theme for this year’s celebration is “Icheta Nso Ala Ndigbo – Identifying The Abominable Behaviors in Igbo Land”. The event aims to provide a platform for the university community to come together and celebrate their cultural roots.
The registrar, Vincent Maliki, has extended an invitation to the public to join in the celebration, urging all pro-Igbo persons and groups to attend in their traditional attire. It’s going to be a fantastic display of Igbo culture, and you’re invited!
