Experts To Brainstorm Againt Gender-based Violence

Humanitarian affairs advocates are billed to brainstorm on the pervasiveness of gender–based violence, to commemorate the 16 Days of Activism.

The event, holds on 8th, December, and organised by the African Youth Growth Foundation (AYGF), according to its Executive Director, Dr Arome Salifu.

Arome said:
“AYGF launched a social media campaign on #16daysofactivism to educate and increase awareness about the various forms of Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

“We will be engaging experienced advocates in the field. This platform will provide an opportunity to gain valuable insights into the challenges posed by GBV in Nigeria and explore strategies for its reduction.”

“As a lawyer at the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria, her role involves representing individuals who cannot afford legal services. She is dedicated to ensuring that everyone, regardless of their financial situation, has access to justice.”

While unveiling the expected experts, he said:

“Brenda Maisaje studied law at the University of Jos and received her Barrister at Law (BL) from the Nigerian Law School. Currently, pursuing a Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies at the Federal University Lokoja.

“Ashifa Agede is an international development professional with more than 8 years of hands-on experience in managing projects and programs.

“Currently serving as the Program Coordinator at the Centre for Health Systems Support and Initiatives for Development (CHESIDS), a non-profit on a mission to empower young minds and strengthen health systems.

“Meet Ifeanyi Ofodu Raymond, A passionate advocate for Youth Empowerment and Social Justice.

“As the founder of Raymadegroup, an advocacy youth group, Ifeanyi has taken on the challenge of making a positive impact on society.

“Armed with a degree in Diplomacy and History from the University of Nigeria, Ifeanyi is not just an academic but a dedicated youth consultant.

“His commitment to ending child marriage and harmful practices has earned him recognition and training from both UNICEF and the African Union.
