Business Mogul and Philanthropist, High Chief Hamilton Ezeonu (Ikemba Nnobi), has emphasised the need to show love, care and support to elderly ones in the society, noting that the moment you visited and spend time with the elderly ones, especially the aged ones, would foster a sense of belonging for the elderly.
He appealed on Friday during a visit to a Senior Citizen, Chief Julius Ezeafulukweu (Ezeobidi) aged 116 yrs at his palatial home Umuru, Ebenesi Nnobi.
According to Ikemba Nnobi, over a time he observed that the elderly people in the society are not care about.
He added that his Grandmother died at the aged of 136 yrs and nobody knew about it and therefore deemed it necessary to visit the Supercentenarian at Christmas.
While wishing Chief Ezeafulukweu a merry Christmas and a prosperous New year, presented him with cash gift, two bags of rice and wine.
On his part, the parish priest of St Paul’s Catholic Church Ebneator Nnobi, Rev Fr Dr Chike Onwuegbusi commended Ikemba Nnobi for his magnanimity, describing it as a timely and impactful gesture during the festive season.
