The reformed NYSC can play a pivotal role in combating insurgency and fostering discipline among Nigerian youths.

Advocates argue that adapting the program to include military training and service would address both security and socio-economic challenges while providing Nigerian youths with valuable skills and opportunities. Chief Obono-Obla urged policymakers to take proactive steps in restructuring the NYSC to meet the current demands of the nation.

The proposed reform has sparked discussions across various sectors, with many calling on the government to prioritize the review and restructuring of the NYSC for a greater national impact.
