Former Speaker House Of Representative Emeka Ihedioha has resigned his membership of the People’s Democratic party.
In his letter titled Resignation From The PDP and dated April 23, 2024, Ihedioha said the party’s new trajectory which at variance with his beliefs is the reason for his action.
He said, ”regrettably, in recent times , the party has taken on a path that is at variance with my personal beliefs. Despite my attemp to offer counsel the party is sadly, no longer able to carry out internal reforms, enforce its own rules or offer credible opposition to the ruling APC “
He however did not say which political party he is moving to.
